Sentinella Torino, an open civic platform for Turin. Pods with a camera ride on city buses: on an Arduino UNO Q a vision model spots abandoned waste, bulky items and full bins, and the pod files a report only after seeing the object in three frames in a row. Citizens add reports and confirmations from their phone, and any other team can plug in its own sensors through an API: traffic lights, air quality, pedestrian counters.

Sentinella Torino, una piattaforma civica aperta per Torino. Sui bus di linea viaggiano dei pod con una camera: su una Arduino UNO Q un modello di visione riconosce rifiuti abbandonati, ingombranti e cassonetti pieni, e il pod manda la segnalazione solo dopo aver visto l'oggetto in tre frame di fila. I cittadini aggiungono segnalazioni e conferme dal telefono, e qualsiasi altro team può collegare i suoi sensori tramite API: semafori, qualità dell'aria, contapedoni.

The platform merges duplicates within 40 m, marks a report as verified when a bus and a citizen agree, ranks it by severity, confirmations and waiting time, and sends it to whoever has to fix it, from Amiat to the council. When a bus passes the spot twice without seeing the problem, the report closes on its own. Only the category, the position, the confidence and a crop of the object leave the pod: never whole frames, never people. Four of us built it over a weekend.

La piattaforma unisce i doppioni entro 40 m, segna una segnalazione come verificata quando bus e cittadino concordano, la ordina per gravità, conferme e attesa e la manda a chi deve intervenire, da Amiat al Comune. Quando un bus ripassa due volte dal punto senza più vedere il problema, la segnalazione si chiude da sola. Dal pod escono solo categoria, posizione, confidenza e il ritaglio dell'oggetto: mai frame interi, mai persone. L'abbiamo costruita in quattro, in un fine settimana.
